About our rabbitry...
Hi, I am Megan Caswell. I am 25 years old.
I got into the hobby when I was 14 but always had rabbits since I was little. In fact my first rabbit's name was Popcorn. I called her this because when she would hop it reminded me of popcorn popping. But when I was 14 in 8th Grade we had a science fair project and I did mine about broken and solid rabbits if you breed a broken mom to a solid dad how many of those babies would be broken or solid. This project made me get into what I do today!
Own a Rabbitry!
I now breed not to get brokens and solids but to get a rabbit that is as good as the Standard of Perfection of the breeds that I now breed. It is a lot of work and when people say how hard can it be its really hard! You have to make sure the rabbit is good in all areas of the body. You also have to set up pedigrees and do the computer work that goes with them and the hours it takes to take care of them to get them ready for the show.
I am truly dedicated and now since September 2016 I have added some amazing colors like Tri-colored, Harlequin, Sable Point, And my favorite Black Otter to my Holland Lops I am extremely excited to start producing these awesome colors in my rabbitry. Also I have added a new color to my Lionheads and that is Chocolate it it the new favorite color in the breed so that color will also be awesome to produce out of my barn!!! I love my rabbits a lot and always want to make them happy because they make me happy. AND!!!! Our new color in both breeds as of April 2017 is Blue Eyed - White!!!!
Us rabbit breeders are DEDICATED and we all show that when we put our rabbits up on that table to be judged!
I also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to who has helped me with my Rabbitry and who has gotten me started I can't thank you enough for all the help and support and advice I have gotten in the years that I have been doing this and also the knowledge that have learned doing this hobby...
